The Walls
of the City: stick, tear, paint, photograph, paint again and scratch.
Covering
the walls with posters and graffiti
belongs
to the very soul of the cities in these days.
There
is a cyclic procedure: stick the posters, paint and scratch, tear, stick
posters again.
In
the works I now present, there is a reference to the process, though the
pictures are only indirect documents. In each image, the way to follow
until the final result is allegoric in itself: after taking the picture
there is the handwork: tear, scratch, paint, stick and write on the photograph,
in a constructive destruction.
Finally,
I get back to the photographic procedure: printing in Cibachrome.
And
coming back to the wall to hang the very final work.
